Synopsis

Name: Mark Easterbrook

I am a contract software developer specialising in high availability, high reliability, high performance software with extensive experience of embedded systems, OS kernel, telecommunications and command and control. My forte is taking on the more challenging elements of a software project and rapid familiarisation with the more technical aspects of the problem domain.

My knowledge, skills and experiences are broad both technically and of the complete software project lifecycle. I am also able to take on ancillary functions such as project management, end user training, internal technical training and personal development, and systems and network administration and support.

I am UK security cleared (SC level).

Location and Availability

I expect to be next available for contract in June 2006. My minimum contract term is 3 months.

I will consider locations in or near the Solent area (Portsmouth/Southampton).

Setting up C or C++ mentoring and training plans for programming staff.
Debugging the software development process.

Managing code bases and releases - how to get the most out of code control systems.
Moving to Linux.
